Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became a morning reporter and anchor on WCBD TV. O'Dell's reports in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance regarding DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. It led to the state government imposing more stringent rules in these instances. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. Following her stint in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative journalist. After that, she became a part of Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. She also works as co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has reported on occasions like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals Programs during The Emmys. In addition, she hosted Miss USA's pageant as in addition to the Miss Universe Pageant.
